Biography
"Americans buy some 675 million pounds of turkey around Thanksgiving, an average of 2 1/4 pounds per person, which makes the turkey industry gobble with glee. What we never hear about, though, is how much turkey is wasted annually, such as the wings that are left to sit in a ziplock bag in the back of the refrigerator until someone furtively tosses them in the trash." This article sought to put an end to all that! I always make turkey soup. The challenge here was to try to make something that wouldn't offend too many vegetarians, (I've appeared in some angry blogs, I found when I Googled myself)... in the end, I let the editors decide. I was a little surprised that they went with the guy stuffing the turkey into the grinder, but what the heck. It's true enough!
