This article was reviewing businesses that transcribe audio recordings into text files...I didn't think it was dry at all, and I like a lot of these ideas. I think the art director was wise to choose the simplest solution; it seems that in a lot of the pieces I've chosen to include in this portfolio resulted from this sort of decision. It's so tempting as an illustrator to try to 'say everything' in the drawing, but less is usually more. And, it's always fun to have an octopus in the Wall Street Journal!
